    It says to take it with milk but it makes me gassy....put it rather mildly. I think that with some of the meds like this they need to be taked with FOOD or MILK to coat your stomach.     Plaquenil and Depression/Anxiety - Symptoms and Medical. It’s an issue because the only treatment I have is giving myself IM Toradol injections, which is not fun and can cause stomach bleeding. I stopped the plaquenil again and it has cleared up. I mentioned this to my cardiologist at the Marfan Center at Stanford where I am seen for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and he said he had heard of people.
